In this project it is aimed to support and promote interdisciplinary and exploratory research for the achievement of competitive phytotherapeutic products for their anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties, obtained from selective vegetal extracts of Aconitum toxicum Reichenb., Helleborus odorus Waldst. & Kit. ex Willd and Anemone nemorosa L. The project is distinguished by the elements of originality and innovation consisting of filling out databases of natural compounds, by studying pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics of new bioactive compounds, by developing a technology for conditioning plant extracts in nanogels functionalized with phytosynthesized metal nanoparticles. Improving the anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties of topical nanoformulations is obtained by integrating experimental data of extraction and separation of phytochemical constituents (alkaloids, flavonoids), phytosynthesis of metal nanoparticles, in vitro and in silico evaluation of bioactivity extracts and nanostructured extracts, and study of the pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics of active biocompounds. Through this project we aim to create a competitive research team, able to approach, develop and quantify the study of selective extracts with anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties, to improve in vitro research capacity to optimize topical nanoformulations and to increase research excellence.
